On Wednesday, September 22, 2010 Flagstaff joined the World CarFree Network to promote alternatives to car dependence and automobile-based planning and saved almost 6,000 miles of driving. A car-light community facilitates healthier lifestyles, builds tighter-knit and safer community, improves air quality, mitigates climate change, increases affordability, and promotes national security by lowering dependence on oil. Join us again this year as we try to save 10,000 miles.
